What We Do
RIDE
The biggest obstacle most people to engaging with outdoor sports (especially snowsports) is purely money. We know it's an expensive sport so we do what we can as a club to try to augment those costs a bit in a few key ways.
GEAR
We offer FREE gear rental services, which are a sick resource if you're just getting into the sport and can't invest in your own gear yet, or didn't bring your kit to school, or even just wanna try riding something different than you're used to.
PASSES
Whistler Blackcomb offers a 50% off season's pass for all current post-secondary students, you only have to sign up with your UBC email. You can also snag day passes or multi-day passes, or an Epic Pass, which gives you Whis access as a resort owned by Vail.

We also offer an SNB-members only sweet deal on the Ikon Pass (the other major conglomerate of ski resorts, including Cypress, Revy, Red, and Sun Peaks) from Powder Corp.
Getting up to the mountain is the final barrier, but you have a few good options!
For Whistler, there are two shuttle bus services - Epic Rides and YVR Skylynx with buses leaving from UBC campus as well as downtown Van. Both offer round trips and one ways! If you can't make the bus times but don't have a vehicle, there's also Pop-A-Ride which is like virtual hitchhiking and lets you buy a cheap seat in someone's car.
You can also rent your own car for the day using one of Vancouver's car-share services like Evo or Modo Co-Op. If you have your own vehicle here, that's ideal, but gas is expensive too, so you'll wanna fill the car with homies and split the prices of either a rental or gas. To find a crew keen to ride up any weekend, we have a Ride Share Groupchat for SNB members - just shoot a message in the chat and find a crew for the day. Plus, you make new friends. Win, win, win.

Somewhere new in the works? For the final trip of the year, we're scheming up a new destination to rival last year's Kicking Horse trip.

Tickets to these trips are limited by capacity and demand is HIGH. So, we operate on a first-come, first-serve basis (with an SNB twist). We'll split the sales into three drops for each trip to try to make sure everyone gets a shot. The timing of these drops will be announced in advance on our Instagram. Sales are cash only, so make sure you have your shmoneyyy on you and keep an eye on the Instagram for when we announce the location. Get there first and get your spot!
